We build acrylic hatches, and there is nothing that spells quality in a boat than acrylic hatches... and make sure that they are sufficiently watertight to resist the rigours of the sea and washdowns. To do this they need seals. Our seals are "T" slotted into the acrylic so they won't move. Seals that are bonded to plastics have a way of moving or coming unglued.
 
 
We are justifiably proud of our live bait well hatches, where we have come up with several innovations:
 
  • "T" slot seals for seal security and withstanding sloshing.

 

  • Doming: Some large live bait well covers tend to sag over time in the Florida sun. We have stopped this by giving the lids a slight dome, and like the dome of a cathedral, it makes the hatch very strong.

 

  • Coating for scratch and chemical resistance.
